Welcome to the very first issue of the Social Dealership magazine, we are super excited to share it with you here! This issue is packed with articles from industry experts, with one intent in mind, to share with auto dealers, valuable social media information!
(Thank you for the idea Clara!)
Great first issue! Look forward to the next! Congrats on the launch.
Thank you Bill! That’s much appreciated!
David’s Top 5 article really caught my eye. Our dealership has been working on creating a strategy for uploading customer photos to FB, but it seems difficult to make this an “easy” process. Sure it is simple to just post the photo to our wall, but the tagging and interacting is where I’m a little stumped. For someone to “tag” another person in a photo they must be their friend on FB. I’m a little concerned about how some of our sales consultant’s FB pages might reflect our business and worried that if we implemented a strict social media policy and training on privacy settings/lists that this might discourage the sales consultant from ever “friending” a customer in the 1st place b/c they won’t want to go through the trouble. Also, some of our sales consultants don’t want our customers to have their FB information and a couple of them don’t even have a FB account. Do you suggest creating a FB profile acct for the dealership that we “friend” people through? Or do you have any other suggestions? I know it shouldn’t seem so complicated, but it is definitely something that I have been putting a lot of thought in to. I look forward to reading more from you.
I like to have the person who sold the car, the salesperson, connect with the customer on Facebook… after asking for permission of course. Another idea, which for some reason I didn’t put in the article, is to have the salesperson tag both the customer AND the dealerships Facebook Page (you can do that now). Then of course, if there are some cool things happening on the Page, then the salesperson should invite their customer to join in on the fun. The invite should be personal with reasons why they should “like” the page.
For those salespeople that don’t want to connect with their customers on their personal account, they can create another one that they can interact with their customers on. I do understand that if a policy is too strict that some salespeople wont engage at all. That’s why training is so very important and should be part of their ongoing education. I hope that helps! Thank you for the comment!
Looks awesome guys!! Going to have a read when I get a free minute. Does it come in a print version as well?? Any Canadians reading this thing??

Thank you Ryan, I appreciate that! It’s only digital right now, but who knows what may happen down the road!
We are just getting started with Facebook and Social Media for our company.
Let me know if I can be of any assistance!
Quality publication! Nice work, looking forward to future editions for sure. Maybe an “Old Car Dawg” corner, just to keep it real. LOL. Keep it up, good substance not fluff.
Brad
Thank you Brad! I’d love for you to have an article in the next edition!
Wow! Just fantastic David and crew… nice work!
Thank you Mike, we all worked really hard on it!
Thanks for letting me know about this. I look forward to reading upcoming magazine posts.
You are very welcome! New issue will be out on the 21st… have you registered to get an email when its published?
I’ve been following Elise Kephart on Facebook, and recommend you do the same, perhaps even ask her to contribute an article. She is cutting edge in Social Media and just finished her presentation recently in Vegas for Jim Zieglar’s Internet Battle Plan.
Your premiere issue has really good content, and after reading it through, I took several pages of notes! I was particularly excited to see Vets-Cars.com in your publication.
Looking forward to future issues!
I’m familiar with who she is, I will hit her up and see if she interested in writing an article for the next issue. Thank you for the recommendation and the connection on Facebook!
Please contact me, auto dealers are our target market and any new idea to reach them is of interest to me.
Thank you

can I print a copy? Too hard to read on screeen…
Sigh… It’s Monday… Nevermind… I printed a copy…
No problem, was just about to say that you can. You should see a PDF copy if that would make it easier for you.
